Thanks for all the parents that came out to the meeting last night. We are very much looking forward to the season and getting started. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Makeup and hair supplies are on the Rebel Regiment page under Hair/Makeup. Please purchase at your leisure - it's easier to get it a little at a time instead of everyone all at once. Jen will teach you what to do. You must have the hair and makeup supplies by the first football game.

Keep in touch about ordering other items like flag bags, tights, rehearsal uniforms and duffel bags. Thanks!!

A belated congratulations to Byrnes Indigo for placing 13th at WGI World Championships in the first ever appearance in Scholastic Open Class. It was an amazing weekend with many highs and lows, but making finals the first year in Open is an incredible feat. Over the past 3 years, 31 guards have been promoted from Scholastic A to Scholastic Open. Only 5 of those guards have made Scholastic Open Finals after promotion, so Indigo is one of an elite few to retain success at the next level. Congrats gentleman and ladies!

Fall auditions have just wrapped up as of Friday, May 7 - audition results are on the RRCG page. Check out the calendar of events in order to schedule family events, outings, and appointments. Please remember that all rehearsals and performances are MANDATORY. Appointments, family trips, or other absences of that nature are UNACCEPTABLE. Please look at our calendar before making conflicting arrangements.

We are so excited to get started on RRCGMMX and we know this is going to be an incredible year. Stay tuned for updates and further information. Congrats to all new members!

What an unbelieveable season! The Byrnes Guard Program finished out its local season at CIPA Championships this past Saturday with three amazing performances and came home with three medals for the second consecutive year.

Spin Club finished their season in 3rd Place in HS A Intermediate Class with their final performance of Fireflies. The students were stellar as always, performing larger than life and finished a close 3rd place to Boiling Springs 9th grade guard and Sullivan South's varsity guard. After finishing 3rd last year in Novice class, we are so proud of the accomplishment of medaling in a higher class. We enjoyed the season immensely and are proud of all of the hard work and amazing achievements of Spin Club!

Byrnes JV performed their crowd-favorite program, Imagine, and left not a dry eye in the house. The growth and development of JV this season is unparalelled - after the Atlanta regional and now a 3rd place medal in the SA Class, JV is a true heavy hitter. JV's performance was the strongest of the season,  and finished a close second to Karns HS and Dobyns-Bennett HS, BOTH guard perennial regional finalists. To be in that company is absolutely incredible. Another note - JV finishes the year as the 2nd highest ranked South Carolina guard - 2nd only to Indigo!

Indigo finished their local season with a solid and emotional performance of Wish You Were Here. Technique and emotion were strong points. It's a great springboard into preparation for World Championships. After a short break, we will be back to task and leaving for Dayton in a week. We will update the news blog during our trip to keep everyone at home updated on the results and memorable moments.

Thanks to all of you for your support over this season. 2010 was the best season we have had to date, and we are alaready looking forward to 2011 to take it another level!

Check out the Weekly and Show Schedules and the packing list. There is some more information on the schedules to help you all prepare for this upcoming weekend in Raleigh. This is a REGIONAL WEEKEND!!!

The Byrnes Winterguards traveled to Monroe, North Carolina over the weekend to compete at the CWEA Charlotte Qualifier at Sun Valley High School. All three groups performed and placed well and received great comments from our judges.

The Byrnes Spin Club competed in the Scholastic AAA class which included many Varsity and Junior Varsity programs from the Charlotte area. The Spin Club ended up 4th out of 12 groups and even managed to narrowly beat the varsity winterguard from Rock Hill High School.

The Byrnes JV guard competed in the Scholastic A class and placed 2nd, 3 points behind the varsity winterguard from Fort Mill High School. Until recently, Fort Mill has had the premiere colorguard program in the state and the fact that JV hung with them says a lot about their the competitiveness on a state and national level.

Byrnes Indigo once again was the only group competing in the Open class, but gave a great performance...

This weekend, Byrnes Indigo and JV will be giving their national premieres at the WGI Carolina Regional in Raleigh, North Carolina. Please wish the students good luck as they represent District Five schools and our community at their first regional competition.

Thanks to everyone for being so flexible with the Dorman cancellation yesterday. We are in the process of finalizing a schedule to take ALL THREE winter guards to Sun Valley HS in Monroe (Charlotte), NC next weekend for a CWEA show. We understand this is a very late notice, but we want your children to have as many opportunities to perform as possible. At your rehearsals this week, we will give you the finalized information.

Makeup and hair supplies have been posted on your respective guard's page. Please check and make sure you have for this weekend. We are planning on wearing costumes with ALL THREE guards, so make sure you are prepared with hair, makeup, body tights, etc for your first nearly complete performance!

Show shirts are in the process of being ordered - if your child was NOT in marching band, they need to pay $15 before they can receive a show shirt. If family members would like to purchase a show shirt to wear to competitions (we will be getting them before the trip to Raleigh), we need to know how many and what sizes by Wednesday, February 3rd. Money needs to be turned in by Wednesday, February 10th. Please let Jen know numbers and sizes for family members.

If you are not receiving emails from Mr. Moss, please contact him ASAP. He has been gathering information from your children, but we need to make sure we have all of your contact information. Friday night and Saturday's cancellations could have gone a bit smoother with everyone's information. Make sure you get that to him ASAP!
